Intellectual Property Policy

CVS’s intellectual property represents a valuable asset, which its leaders and members must strive to protect. CVS will take necessary measures to protect its intellectual property. In the course of working for any CVS objective, if patent is granted for same, all IPR rights remain with CVS.

Code of Leadership Politics

CVS leaders should strive to follow these practices:

  • Lead by example and be an inspirational leader.
  • Support and follow the Council’s vision, mission, policies and procedures.
  • Represent CVS positively to others.
  • Act ethically, honestly and openly at all times; respect the views of others.
  • Participate in CVS meetings regularly.
  • Manage the Council’s finances responsibly
  • Ensure leadership continuity by developing new leaders.
  • Promote member interest, active participation and delegation of work.
  • Acknowledge and reward performance and achievement frequently.
  • Remain open to criticism, change, innovation and improvements.

Code of Ethics

As practitioners in an important and learned profession, and in order to establish and maintain a high standard of integrity and practice, we shall

  • Follow the best practices in Health Safety and Environment (HSE)and welfare of the public while performing our duties.
  • Act in an honest, professional manner and provide quality services.
  • Issue public statements in an objective and truthful manner and avoid any misconduct which brings discredit to CVS.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and to disclose them to affected parties.
  • Accept, and offer positive criticism, to acknowledge and correct errors, and to credit properly the contributions of others.
  • Treat fairly and respectfully all stakeholders, recognizing their unique contributions and capabilities.
  • Represent our abilities, qualifications, technical associations and professional registrations without exaggeration and in accordance with the laws.
  • Not represent ourselves or our organization using the name of CVS in such a manner as to imply endorsement by CVS in order to advance personal or organization gains.
  • Respect the proprietary information, copyrights, intellectual property rights, and data privacy of others.
  • Become familiar with and follow CVS Bye-Laws, Policies and Procedures while acting on behalf of CVS.
