The Secretary and Director General shall be elected from amongst the elected members of the Governing Council. The roles and responsibilities of the Secretary and Director General include:
Acts as Secretary of all CVS meetings and is responsible for the content of the minutes of Governing Council Meetings.
In consultation and coordination with the President participates in CVS and professional events
Submits a written Annual Report at the annual meeting of the CVS.
Receives nominations submitted by for elected positions and publishes these nominations along with their brief biographies and goals at least 21 days before the election date.
Responsible for the content of the agendas for Governing Council meetings as discussed with the Governing Council
Responsible for long range planning in support of the strategic activities of the President
